Snowballs in Hell

What can a person do when it is 90 degrees and 99% humidity?  Why, make a quilt, of course!  Here are all your lovely blocks with a few more of mine all assembled and ready to sandwich.  I have some backing and binding fabric from my stash, so I won't have to buy anything for this quilt except the batting.  Want to use wool batting for this quilt, as I plan to use it for my naps next winter....ahhh...that gives me hope to carry on.   Does anyone have a brand to recommend?

  1. that is AWESOME! I just love how it turned out! Amazing! I don't have a brand to offer, but I just got a quilt back from my quilter, and it's the first time I tried a wool bat, because I wanted it to be warm and to drape nicely. It is so lightweight compared to cotton. I am just loving it! Can't wait to see it quilted, Helen!

  2. It looks wonderful! Great job! I've used Hobbs wool before, and like it, but I've really been wanting to try Quilter's Dream wool and see how I like it. I like all their others, especially the bamboo, which I just tried for the first time. I think I'd like their wool. Let us know what you ended up trying and what you think of it. I'd be interested to know . . .

  5. I agree with Jackie; I use Quilters Dream wool in all my show quilts because it doesn't crease after folding and I can wash it. My customers love it, too. Nice loft and great drape. Very little shrinkage.
